Levante and Sevilla close the round with a six-goal thriller, a red card and ten minutes of stoppage time

Levante and Sevilla drew 3-3 in a dramatic La Liga eighth-round game at the Ciutat de València. Sevilla threw away a two-goal lead, and three goals were scored in stoppage time alone.

The dropped points stopped Sevilla from moving within two points of fourth-placed Real Madrid, while Levante climbed out of the relegation zone, level on points with Elche in 18th but ahead on goal difference.

The visitors took the lead in the 13th minute through Robbie Ure, and Félix Correia doubled it in the 54th minute, with the goal confirmed after a VAR review. Levante hit back just three minutes later, when Iván Romero pulled one back from a Roger Brugué assist.

The real madness came after 90 minutes. In the second minute of stoppage time, Adrián de la Fuente equalised with a superb strike from outside the box. Levante’s joy was short-lived, as Isaac Romero restored Sevilla’s lead in the fifth minute of added time. Just a minute later, however, the scorer received a second yellow card, leaving his side with ten men.

That proved costly for Sevilla, who let victory slip once again. In the tenth minute of stoppage time, Ifeanyi Ndukwe struck to make it 3-3, with the goal confirmed after VAR intervention.
